POSITION OVERVIEW :
The I.T. Exchange Engineer will provide senior level operational direction and support for the Exchange Messaging and Unified Communications Infrastructure throughout the enterprise. You will direct the technical aspects of major Unified Communications infrastructure projects from concept and scoping through design and implementation at the Enterprise level as well as for projects and GBUs. Execute the overall design, installation and integration of Unified Communication (UC) systems throughout the Enterprise; evaluate large systems currently in use to assess their effectiveness, to determine how well the infrastructure elements are meeting current and projected business needs and to recommend efficiencies, upgrades and modifications that will improve system use.
Qualifications: PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
4-year degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience and at least 7-10 years working working as a lead exchange engineer in designing, building, securing and managing a business critical Enterprise Messaging environment. Technical knowledge and hands on experience with Server Hardware and Storage Platforms required. Must have proven track record implementing industry best practices related to secure messaging architecture and administration in a large organization.
Experience maintaining one or more infrastructure elements for a large global enterprise; managing and supporting Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, email clients and protocols.
Experience working as a member of a diverse, geographically based team involved in project delivery from concept, scoping and design through implementation.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification (MCSE Exchange) a plus.
