IT Manager - DIRECT HIRE 21 CFR Part 11/GLP, Solution Development Networking, Web-Based Applications Database Design/Maintenance, SQL Server/Oracle SDLC, Project Management, Customer Service Telecommunications, IT Infrastructure Planning/Development Volt Technical Resourceshas a Direct Hire opportunity in Bothell, WA for an IT Manager. Position Description: The IT Manager will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities for the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the IT department. The IT Manager will: * Work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. * Also define and implement IT policies, procedures and Best Practices. The IT Manager reports to the Director of IT. Departmental Competencies (Duties/Responsibilities): * Lead the IT department's operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources. * Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including Telecommunications, servers, PCs, Operating Systems, hardware, software, peripherals and Office Automation equipment. * Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and systems. * Oversee provision of End User services, including Help Desk and Technical Support services. * Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. * Keep current with the latest technologies. * Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. * Approve and oversee projects and project portfolio. * Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, Disaster Recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision. * Develop requests for proposal. * Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts and Service Agreements. * Practice Asset Management for IT hardware, software and equipment. * Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's Executives, Department Heads and End Users regarding pertinent IT activities. Corporate Competencies: * Manage the financial aspects of the IT department, including purchasing, budgeting and budget review. * Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions. Requirements:
Required Skills for this IT Manager position include the following: Education/Years of Experience: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, and/or related field or equivalent * Minimum of 10+ years of related work experience; Software Development experiencepreferred Software and Technical Knowledge: * Working familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 and GLP regulations * A wide degree of creativity in Solution Development * Strong familiarity with Networking technologies. * 2+ years of experience with web-based Applications Development * 5+ years of experience with Database (SQL Server or Oracle) Design and Maintenance * Excellent understanding of full Software and System Development Life Cycle Independence and Leadership: * Must possess strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to make an independent judgment * 5-10 years of experience in effective leadership at Project Management * Ability to foster and develop teamwork as a means to success Core Skills: * Strong technical knowledge of Telecommunications, Networks and PC Operating Systems * Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards * Extensive Application Support experience * Proven experience in IT Infrastructure Planning and Development to support business and Web applications * In-depth knowledge of applicable Data Privacy practices and laws * Strong understanding of Human Resource Management principles, practices and procedures * Strong understanding of Project Management principles * Strong leadership skills * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required * Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language * Ability to perform general mathematical calculations for the purpose of creating business cases, budgets and so on * High level of self-motivation * Keen attention to detail * Proven analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. * Exceptional customer service orientation * Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment How to Apply:Please email your resume to Volt at: reference the following job number and job title in your subject line to ensure it gets routed to the correct Recruiter to readily discuss this job with you:-12-291461 - IT Manager - DIRECT HIREand include the website name where you saw this posting listed.
