Group Fitness Assistant Dept Head - Sandy Springs (Sports Management/Operations)
As the Group Fitness Assistant Department Head, you will assist the Department Head in creating and managing a cutting edge and member-focused group fitness program while recruiting and developing a team of entertaining, educated, and motivating instructors.
In this position, you will assist with the overall direction, coordination and supervision of the Group Fitness department while acting as a fitness resource for class participants.
Responsibilities
Build positive relationships with class participants by offering exceptional classes and customer service
Ensure studios are clean and organized after each class and help ensure all Group Fitness equipment is functional and working properly
Promote our programs, products and services to class participants
Assist Department Head with daily performance reports that include Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), daily number of classes and number of class participants.
Assist with daily inspections ensuring studios are clean and equipment needed for upcoming classes is available
Qualifications
Degree in kinesiology, sports medicine, or related field
Minimum of one year group fitness management experience
Minimum of one year of group fitness class instruction experience
Primary Group Fitness Certification (minimum of one): ACE (preferred), AFAA, ACSM, NETA, AEA, IFTA
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
