Grip

The Grip is responsible for the safe and effective placement and implementation of the lighting fixtures and accessories. This position is a RUN OF SHOW position.




Responsibilities
-Identifies, analyzes, and interprets the script within the context of grip procedures and materials

-Responsible for positioning, installing, focusing and stabilizing the lighting fixtures and accessories in order to implement lighting plan designed by the Director of Photography and executed by the Gaffer

-Provides assistance in the moving, handling, and setting up of sets in close collaboration with other personnel (Camera, Props, and Audio)

-Executes the selection and placement of lighting control materials as instructed by the Gaffer and under the supervision of the Director of Photography

-Provides assistance to the Gaffer and Best Boy Electrician to resolve any issues that occur during electrical set up

-Provides assistance to the Gaffer for the maintenance and usage of the Grip car and accessories

-Provides assistance in inventory tracking and organizing of different equipment and materials

-Works under the direct supervision of the Gaffer and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

-Ensures that all work is done under the technical guidelines and operations procedures of Telemundo Studios' infrastructure and adheres to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures

-Follows policies, applicable laws, and regulations to protect his/her own health and safety as well as that of other workers, the public, and the environment

-Presents ideas that support EHS goals and policies to your business or EHS leader

-Raises concerns about possible violations of EHS policies to your manager, business and EHS Leader
