• Ability to managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products.
• Work with Marketing leads to establish product line success metrics measures and work with analytics to report progress against success metrics
• Work closely with Marketing and other departments to effectively position our products to maintain a leadership standing in the marketplace
• Drive product release strategy, interact with sales, development, and product marketing to define these requirements, and directs interaction with engineering and operations on product development.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (MBA or other Master's is a plus)
• 5 to 7 years of experience in Product Management , Marketing, Strategy; specifically as Product Manager for service product (B2B or B2C)
• Experience with agile development processes and frequent product release cycles
• Thorough knowledge of the Public Safety landscape
• Familiarity with Federal and State and Local Government requirements
• Demonstrated project management skills & ability to work independently
• Familiarity with LTE and Bands - C & D
• Experience with WWAN, LAN technologies and how they are used to support Public Safety Data Centers
• Forward thinker, willing to take on special projects/ new initiatives
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Understanding of the procurement processes and contract process
• Entrepreneurial, startup attitude- ready to learn and excel
• Superior Collaboration Skills: Ability to work with different people across a team effectively and organize and galvanize the team to action with clear direction and leadership
• Very familiar with the overall Product Management process and product life cycle

.The Product Manager / Business Development Manager for Government Solutions will be responsible for planning and developing the strategy for a single product or group of products to be offered to Local, State, and Federal Government Organizations. This person will be supporting the VZW Product portfolio for Government as well as the VZW/Motorola Public Safety Alliance. This position will work with outside vendors, various company departments, including product development, engineering, sales, operation, and IT, legal and contracts teams to develop, create and launch specific government solutions.
1. Business Development/Product Management
By leveraging analyst reports, competitive intelligence and knowledge of marketing, strategy, the government sector and the contracts and procurement processes, the manager will be required to: integrate product in development by Verizon Wireless according to the customer demand for the products/solutions they manage; stay informed of any competing products on the market; develop go to market capture and procurement strategies, and oversee product development. The manager will also be responsible for working with pricing and marketing communications, sales and sales training to develop pricing structures, sales and training tools, and develop customer facing tools.
2. Manage Government Contracts and contractors
The Product manager will serve as a SME for government funded projects within Verizon Wireless. This person will ensure consistent alignment with Sales, Marketing and PDI, as to the delivery of functional requirements and processes to continue to drive overall development of the feature or service. The product manager will also oversee and lead contractor support from time to time.
3. Facilitate productive cross-portfolio and cross-functional relationships via effective and consistent communication
The individual in this role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with other resources; including Marketing counterparts, Sales, Network, IT, Finance, and Go-to-Market.
4. Revenue, Reporting & Analytics
• Be accountable for annual revenue targets for Verizon Wireless services delivering access and connectivity solutions for Government customers.

• Regular Operation Review Presentations and Status Updates
