Executive Director, The Achievement Program
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the TAP Executive Director will be accountable, within agreed budgetary parameters, for the expansion and development of The Achievement Program and its establishment as the national standard for music study in the United States. Responsibilities: Execute and continue to develop a comprehensive business plan for the operation and expansion of The Achievement Program in the United States. Oversee the operating plan and budget. Build and lead an effective and cohesive management team. Utilize and coordinate the resources available from Carnegie Hall and The Royal Conservatory of Music for the benefit of The Achievement Program. Communicate TAP excellence and strength of TAP results to current and prospective clients. Establish and implement short and long term goals, objectives, and operating procedures. Deepen and refine all aspects of communications - from web presence to external relations with a goal of creating a strong brand for The Achievement Program. Report on milestones and maintain a strong and positive relationship with the Board of Directors as a whole as well as with individual members. Interact with and motivate a group of leading teachers and advocates to generate large scale adoptions of The Achievement Program.
This position is located in New York City but will require some initial time in Toronto.
