Senior Managers in the Enterprise Data Management practice are required to have: - A Bachelor's Degree - At least 5 years recent experience working for a consulting firm in a similar capacity, serving Financial Services clients in the Insurance sector. - 10 years of relevant industry experience (could be a combination of industry and consulting experience, if other requirements are met) - At least 4 years of experience managing large technology engagements - A minimum of 6 full life cycle implementations - A willingness to travel 80 - 100% of the time - 8+ years experience architecting EDM solutions, designing/developing data governance standards, roles and responsibilities, designing data conversion strategies and facilitating data conversion, mapping and cleansing workshops. - 5+ years managing EDM project teams (5-20 in size) through the full lifecycle - scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, go-live - Ability to recommend EDM process, governance, organizational and platform models, tool selections and application integration options to clients - Strong implementation experience in 2 of the following 3 areas with at least some knowledge of the third. Experience implementing all 3 areas preferred.
1. Master Data Management (SAP MDM, IBM WebSphere MDM, Oracle Data Hub or Customer Hub, Siperian MDM or Initiate MDM) 2. Data Governance 3. Data Quality (Trillium Data Quality, Informatica Data Quality, IBM Data Quality QualityStage, SAP Business Objects Data Quality XI, SAS Data Flux)
In addition, successful Senior Managers will have the following preferred background: - Experience leading executive-level governance boards - Deep knowledge of different types of Data Warehouse, EPM and Business Intelligence solutions (e.g. IBM/Cognos, SAP/BO, Oracle Hyperion, SAS, etc) - Exposure to data disguising technology (e.g. data obfuscation, data redaction, data masking) - Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments - Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint) - Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment - Eagerness to mentor junior staff - An advanced degree in the area of specialization
