Description:
Volt Workforce Solutions is hiring experienced Electronic Technicians responsible for recognizing component and/or equipment problems that arise and perform independent troubleshooting and testing.



Successful candidates will have:



one to three years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering.

understanding of the manufacturing processes, electronic components and printed circuit boards.

ability to read and understand schematic drawings.

Mechanical skills are required for the use of equipment, both mechanical and electronic, and equipment repair for assembling and disassembling.

Knowledge of job specific computer programming is preferred (i.e. CAD, Labview, etc.).

Candidates will support production through the completion of a variety of technical tasks using independent judgment and problem solving in applying policies and procedures within the scope of the position.

Requirements:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Under limited supervision, provide a wide range of technical support to the production floor, engineers, and/or department.

2. Responsible for recognizing component and/or equipment problems that arise and perform independent troubleshooting and testing.

3. Maintain necessary records and documentation.

4. Interprets basic electrical/engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics.

5. Develop simple work instruction and modify or update existing procedures.

6. Research, gather and summarize data for use in determining errors and root cause. Provide recommendations for problem resolution or process improvement. May follow through with implementation.

Requirements:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post secondary education or training in a related field is preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

One to three years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering is required.





REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of electronics, manufacturing, or engineering principles, theory, and practice.

2. Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components and printed circuit boards.

3. Ability to read and understand schematic drawings.

4. Mechanical skills required for the use of equipment, both mechanical and electronic, and equipment repair for assembling and disassembling.

5. Ability to use computers and software applications, specifically MS Office. Knowledge of job specific computer programming is preferred (i.e. CAD, Labview, etc.)

6. Ability to research, tabulate, and summarize data.

7. Demonstrated organizational and troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

8. Ability to work independently.

9. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external workgroups.
