Overview:
The EDI Specialist is responsible for setting up the vendors used by on EDI. This role must ensure transmission and exchange of information is accurate. The Specialist will handle routine setup requests and issues as well as troubleshoot specific errors. The Specialist will represent and interact with Vendor representatives on EDI. Within , the Specialist will support the Merchant team and collaborate with Planning, Accounts Payable and other support areas.
Key Accountabilities:
Receive and monitor vendor set up requests sent to Accounts Payable
Initiate the steps involved in setting up the vendor on
Monitor the progress of the vendor set upon a daily basis
Be the expert on all facets of vendor set up and EDI
Be the contact for Purchase Order and Inventory advice document questions.
Trouble shoot and resolve issues in the EDI process
Complete tracking report and weekly distribute to users
Support Merchant team on questions and resolution of issues
Ensure training material and procedures manual is updated
Conduct audits of the vendor set up on Macys systems
Participate in completion of ad hoc reporting as needed
Identify system or procedural issues which impact performance
Learn the overall functions of your department and assist team members as needed
Skills Summary:
BA/BS Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Lotus Notes.
Intermediate at Excel, able to work and manipulate large amounts of data.
Strong basic math skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong written and tech savvy skills.
Must have strong analytical skills.
