Director, Web Experience
As the Director of Web Experience you will be responsible for establishing, managing and growing the online LIVE UNITED movement and community – in the USA/ national and worldwide arenas. This position combines strategic thinking, strong online community and campaign organizing abilities with technical knowledge, sharp web design and user skills. You will be responsible for the front-end operations of the UWW national and global public websites and social media, engaging and current content, strategic alignment and brand compliance. As the Director you will work with and support domestic and international local United Ways to achieve a cohesive and experientially rich web presence.
Your key responsibilities/essential duties:
1. Implement and continue to enhance the overarching online interactive UWW network strategy.
2. Maintain, expand and coordinate United Way’s national presence in social and media websites. (YouTube, Flickr, Twitter, Facebook, etc)
3. Assist local United Ways with their work in the interactive space: create / lead learning opportunities; host webinars and workshops; create interactive tools and resources.
4. Work with Communications / PR teams to maintain and implement a web content strategy in support of key organizational initiatives, positioning and marketing objectives.
5. Shepherd United Way Worldwide’s own online social network and execute on an engagement strategy: run engagement program and online fundraising campaign, send action alerts, manage community events and communication.
6. Develop and maintain United Way Worldwide’s public website and other online presences.
7. Explore and develop online partnerships in support of United Way’s engagement campaign (Give, Advocate, Volunteer)
8. Lead a continued SEO campaign, to include a strategy for all UW sites, UW presence on partner sites and social sites, content sharing, content tagging and other tactics.
9. Establish national web engagement metrics: use web/social network data and tracking systems to compile online engagement reports and monitor activity / success in the online presences.
10. Lead an Interactive field council and co-creators (Online Vanguards) to serve as advisers to and champions for the UWW network interactive strategy.
11. Lead the work of web creative staff, contractors and volunteers. Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies. Interface with IT team to insure smooth implementation.
12. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Education Requirements:
Bachelor degree.
Experience Required:
At least 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in web engagement, digital, marketing and communications, and web design, and at least three years of experience in a leadership role. Public speaking experience a plus.
