We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting and tailoring our solutions to all the markets where Google does role: Director of Product Management, Google Fiber Google Fiber is an exciting new business for Google aiming to deploy next generation, gigabit Internet speeds to the home. On March 29th and May 17th we announced that weâ??re starting to build our ultra-high speed network in Kansas City, KS and Kansas City, MO, respectively. Weâ??d love for you to join us in helping to re-shape and revolutionize the way people connect to the web! As the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the data, video and voice offerings for Google Fiber and for the success of these products in the marketplace. You will lead a team of product managers in building and launching an ecosystem of new Gigabit applications and in-home networking devices to ponsibilities: * Responsible for the overall success of the data, video and voice offerings for Google Fiber. * Lead the product strategy, design and architecture efforts by directing internal and external engineering to deliver the products, collaborating with marketing to bring the product to market and coordinating with service delivery for on-going support. * Manage and mentor a team of product managers while leading the product organization. * Define the architecture and design for the data, voice and video offerings including product strategy, the business plan, and overall market positioning. * Establish partnerships across the industry, as necessary, to develop an eco-system for the gigabit applications and for the consumer devices required to access these imum Qualifications: * BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience. * 10 years of experience in a senior product management, engineering and technology strategy role. * 10 years of experience in the consumer facing telecom or internet application ferred Qualifications: * MS or Ph.D. degree * Experience working with external companies and partners. * Experience building and managing medium sized teams. * Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong technical abilities. * Strong track record as an industry thought leader who possesses the ability to lead industry ly now
