Director - Corporate Communications (Sports Marketing/Events/Facilities)
The Director of Corporate Communication will serve as the day-to-day communications leader for internal communications, executive communications, and corporate meetings and events. The position handles a wide range of matters of enterprise importance; oversees all internal and executive messaging; and drives timely and effective project management of key initiatives. Key driver of success: establish and maintain a global voice in all internal and executive communications engagements.
Essential Job Functions
Serves as a key member of the Corporate Communications leadership team, while dealing with a wide range of initiatives, programs, staff, and agency/vendor partners
Establishes the strategy, plan, positioning, messaging and design of internal communications
Teams with Human Resources to define programs that position our company as an Employer of Choice, building and promoting the company culture internally and externally
Works with executives to develop and write internal and external speeches, presentations and scripts targeted to key audiences (i.e. employees, investors, policy makers, customers)
Creates plans and executes internal meetings and events, including concept development staging, lighting, video and sound, and presentation coaching
Plans, creates and executes digital communications targeted to key audiences (i.e. employees, investors, policymakers, customers)
Establishes and maintains the corporate calendar, including key corporate and brand events and activities
Writes scripts and produces corporate videos for use internally and externally
Collaborates with peers and key business unit/department contracts in developing enterprise communications.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or related field required
10+ years of experience in increasingly broader communications roles with demonstrated track record of achievement and growth in leadership
Experienced in managing digital media and creative services for corporate communications function
Experienced in meeting and event production with demonstrated results in creativity and message delivery
Strategic writing capabilities with proven ability for storytelling through compelling written communication
