JOB SUMMARY
The Communications Coordinator helps drive new and existing communications platforms and manage the creation and quality of internal and external editorial content across the Group. This position serves as lead editorial content creator across a variety of channels and as publisher of the company’s internal e-newsletter, also providing logistical support on employee events and other communications projects. In addition, this role assists in the management of corporate communications media and the corporate press website, providing quality control assistance across all written content. The Communications Coordinator resides within the global DATG Communications team, under Internal Communications, and reports to the Manager, Corporate & Internal Communications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, included, but not limited to:
· Develop, draft and edit content for internal communication media, including DATG’s intranet and e-newsletter, as well as TWDC’s internal magazine. · Partner with fellow communications team members to create and edit internal communications, ensuring consistency and quality in messaging and execution; and contribute to departmental projects, including video storytelling, as well as crisis communications planning. · Lead and/or assist in the planning of employee events, including employee screenings, executive speaker series and the DATG virtual town hall. · Edit and maintain corporate communication media, including fact sheets and executive bios, assisting in the distribution of weekly status reports and execution of the corporate press website and Twitter feed.
QUALIFICATIONS Work Experience Required
· A minimum of 2 years of professional work experience, including writing experience
Skills & Abilities Required
· Passion for and knowledge of new media and emerging technologies to deliver best practice communications solutions. · Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to employ various styles, formats and voices clearly, consistently and creatively. · Excellent proofreading and computer skills, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. · Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to problem solve, prioritize and multitask · Ability to operate as a self-starter, able to prepare communication materials with minimal input, but also participate in a team-oriented and collaborative environment. · Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with executives. · Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. · Must be organized and place importance on project ownership, attention to detail and have the ability to handle a quick-paced environment. · Able to handle multiple requests and prioritize effectively.
Preferred · Knowledge of TWDC organization and/or media industry a plus. · Familiarity with electronic content publishing tools, including Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
Education Required
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business and or related field.
