The Content Management Coordinator analyzes and prepares content for online products as well as advises the business units from an editorial and technical perspective on preparation of the content. Responsibilities include analyzing print and electronic sources; performing content management functions, including updating the data repository; updating existing websites, contributing to workflow and process analysis and implementation for new and existing websites. Additionally, the Content Management Coordinator establishes quality assurance processes against new and existing content as well as execute quality control procedures to ensure high quality results. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Establish quality assurance (QA) processes for new and existing content * Create and execute quality control (QC) procedures for content. This includes analyzing and resolving any issues discovered during the QC review. * Analyze print and electronic sources for substantive and structural content in order to advise on website design, index, taxonomy, topic assignment, and navigation based on that content. * Implement data conversion, including writing specifications, creating metadata through programmatic and manual means, integrating new content into the data repository and ensuring quality control. * Assist in content workflow and process analysis and implementation for new and existing online products * Execute web editorial and technical webmaster functions on existing websites, including making content changes Qualifications & Education:
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
* Strong knowledge of XML markup and processing, HTML mark-up, and CSS. * At least three years general work experience, preferably in the publishing industry. * Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. * Knowledge of programming languages is helpful. Language - Reasoning - Analytical - & Mathematical Skills: LANGUAGE, ANALYTICAL SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
