Position: Senior Cisco/VOIP Consultant
This position is primarily a Cisco/VOIP Consultant position with internetworking and legacy telephony aspects. The Cisco/VOIP Consultant role is to ensure the availability, stability, and integrity of Data, Voice, Video, and Wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and implementing Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Voice over IP (VoIP) Networks , and Wireless LANs (WLANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network/Telephony Engineer will participate in the installation, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Required Skills:
· Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment. · Excellent customer service focus and analytical problem solving abilities. · Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation skills. · Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. · In-depth knowledge of Cisco VOIP. · Hands on experience with Call Manager. · Hands on experience with Nortel PBX.
Minimum Qualifications:
· University degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience. · Cisco Voice (CCVP) certification a definite plus. · In-depth Cisco VoIP and Call Manager experience · In-depth Nortel PBX Experience · 5 + years of LAN/WAN engineering experience in a Global Enterprise Environment. · 5 + years experience with Cisco equipment. · 5+ years experience designing, evaluating and recommending networking solutions. · 5+years in the networking/telecommunications industry.
Education and Certifications: Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or 5 years IT experience Cisco certifications a plus
