Communications Specialist 5

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a communicator with experience in developing and implementing communications plans to support a 787 derivatives. The communicator will be responsible for developing and implementing plans that reach multiple audiences internal and external to Boeing. This position requires support to the business's communications strategy, excellent project management skills and demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communications. Must be comfortable promoting the airplane and dealing with issues that arise during the development of the product. It also requires the ability to provide guidance and support to senior executives, confidence in working with members of the media, capability to meet daily and monthly deadlines, strong teamwork and integration skills and the ability to work in a dynamic work environment. In addition to supporting the 787-9, this position will include communications support of broader 787 strategies including the 787 Dreamliner passenger experience, the Dreamliner Gallery employee engagement and environmental performance. Responsibilities include developing and implementing communications plans (strategies, tactics, messages and metrics), providing executive support, coordinating media visits and public presentations, supporting the broader 787 Communications team, leading or participating in special events and projects, writing executive messages, consulting with teams on Communications requirements, writing external news releases and internal Communications articles for BNN and Frontiers. Interface with other Boeing organizations including Supplier Management Communications, International Communications, Media Relations, Internal Communications, Airplane Programs Communications, BCA Communications and Marketing and Boeing Corporate Communications.

Typical Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree and typically 15 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 13 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
