The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The Project Manager is responsible for managing Field & Sales Software Development projects, maintenance rollouts and any pre-development phases that need a Business Initiative to be converted into a Project Initiation Plan. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed with a high degree of quality through the management of cost, schedule and resources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and ntifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities in coordination with the Field & Sales leadership team. Works with leadership to identify gaps in existing staffing levels and, where necessary, assists with candidate evaluation, interview and ages scope and day-to-day work details of a project as defined and measured by the project work erstands the technology used in Field & Sales applications such as Java Swing, Weblogic and Oracle and able to contribute to review of the technical approaches/proposed solutions for a given project. Reviews deliverables prepared by team. Effectively applies Software Development methodology and enforces project pares for reviews and quality assurance ropriately documents, communicates, manages and mitigates risks to a ures project documents are completed according to project work plan/milestone schedule. Facilitates review meetings to ensure that documents are current, and publishes reviewed/approved documentation in approved team/project document repository (i.e. Sharepoint). Partners with Field & Sales leadership team to plan resource needs and measures project resource costs (hour burn rates) and project costs (hardware, software, etc.) to minimize variance from project budget/forecast. Sets up regularly scheduled project meetings, runs the meetings and captures/publishes meeting minutes. Prepares project status reports and presents updates to senior management. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES1.
