The North American Professional Services team leads and manages all of Nielsen's relationships with consumer-focused manufacturers and retailers. As a Client Manager, you will be responsible for delivering contracted products and services to a Nielsen client or clients while also identifying opportunities to sell additional products and services in support of client business needs. You will contribute to overall client satisfaction, profitable revenue attainment, and a high performing team environment. You will also partner with Nielsen associates to provide counsel, insights and recommendations that will meet client business needs and provide profitable revenue.
CLIENT SERVICE
- With director and practice area experts, develops analytical analyses and presentations for assigned clients, identifying opportunities for client action. Produce accurate, complete and insightful project work. - Ensures that client management reports are updated accurately and delivered on schedule. - Participates in the objective setting process, either with the manufacturer client service team, or independently, for all assigned clients. - Continuously updates objectives and re-prioritizes project work accordingly, to provide maximum client value from ongoing relationship with Nielsen. - Serves as the "go to" person for key client contact. Addresses issues related to projects, and brings in experts as necessary - Builds and maintains relationships with key contacts within client organization and increases penetration beyond main contacts. - Ensures that high levels of client satisfaction are maintained and any potential issues are communicated properly within Nielsen and raised to the appropriate level. - Develops a service gap analysis for each assigned client to identify areas of opportunity for incremental revenue. - Develops an understanding of all Nielsen new product initiatives, and strategically important services as defined by corporate Nielsen for current fiscal year and develops a service gap analysis for each client strategic initiative to identify areas of opportunity for incremental revenue. - Matches selected client needs to all Nielsen products and services, bringing in more senior team members as necessary.
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT / STRATEGIC SALES SUPPORT
-Serves as consultant for all Client service offerings, bringing in experts as necessary. - Develops ability to communicate Nielsen corporate strategies to Clients.. -Working in tandem with the other Nielsen functions, develops and delivers capabilities presentations. -Participates in the "discovery" phase of the RFP/contract renewal process, resulting in the delivery of complete and accurate proposal specifications to Pricing and Finance. -Works on the implementation of new work agreement specifications, resulting in improved Client satisfaction as evidenced by client feedback and willingness to be used as a reference for other clients. -Ensures a signed work agreement for all incremental project work, and completes necessary administrative tasks associate with ordering and delivering. -Manages and generates proposal pipeline to close all gaps identified by the service gap analysis for each client. -Ensures value-added information is disseminated to client appropriately Contribute to development of team objectives to deliver client value, and deliver results to meet or exceed objectives. Identifies additional selling opportunities to expand client's use and/or contracting of Nielsen services and solutions. -3-5 years of relevant experience minimum; 5-7 years preferred -Proficient in syndicated data analysis using Nielsen data or similar -Technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office software. -Demonstrated ability to write proposals and make presentations to small to medium sized groups -Proven problem-solving skills using deductive reasoning, understanding hierarchical relationships and identifying gaps in logic. -Proven track record of being proactive and taking project ownership -Experience with Nielsen software tools desired.
Education Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree a plus
