Camera Specialist/Supervisor-Reads the script and annotates it regarding visual ideas, mood, lighting, special mechanical and/or optical digital add-on effects on camera moves
-Responsible for following a camera script within a studio setting and must be able to quickly and effectively interpret what the Director wants upon cue
-Consults with the Director and Director of Photography in regards to the production values, materials and time requirements
-Provides and suggests creative shots to the Director of Photography and/or Director within a location setting
-Assembles, prepares, and sets up equipment prior to filming, which can include tripods, monitors, lighting, cables, leads and headphones
-Maintains and ensures optimum photographic quality of the production
-Selects and tests the lenses to be used
-Operates the camera at all times as required, within non-hazardous limits, whether from a static, mobile or remote position, in the studio or in location, above or under either ground or sea, on a moving vehicle or under adverse climate or operational conditions
-Finds solutions to technical or other practical problems (i.e. natural light conditions) and demonstrates willingness to innovate and experiment with ideas
-Advises the Director and the Director of Photography, immediately following a take, whether or not the take has been satisfactory, and if not, cites specifically all reasons why the take was not satisfactory
-Assists the Director of Photography in ensuring the Camera Operators are properly positioned and able to focus in order to determine shadows, lighting and other elements that could affect the quality of the image
-Plans and coordinates the camera positions, angles and moves under the direction/supervision of the Director of Photography
-Communicates any technical difficulties or material insufficiencies to the production and/or Director of Photography
-Maintains up to date knowledge of filming methods and equipment
-Repairs equipment as needed
-Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Photography and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
-Ensures that all work is done under the technical guidelines and operations procedures of Newtork'a Studios' infrastructure and adheres to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures
-Follows policies, applicable laws, and regulations to protect his/her own health and safety as well as that of other workers, the public, and the environment
-Presents ideas that support EHS goals and policies to your business or EHS leader
-Raises concerns about possible violations of EHS policies to your manager, business and EHS Leader
