AV Systems Designer, Exhibition Interactives & Mediaid="avs">AV Systems Designer, Exhibition Interactives & Media The Media System Designer is responsible for supporting the rest of the team by designing, estimating, prototyping, documenting, and managing the purchase and installation of equipment behind the exhibits, which include human interfaces, computers, networks and AV equipment. Shared responsibilities also include the encoding, organization, maintenance and backup of digital information created in EM&I plus the management of all software licenses. The System Designer is occasionally responsible for the support of traveling exhibitions during translation and installation. The most important responsibility of the AV System Designer is to bring innovative designs that provide creative interactive solutions, in a stable, organized and affordable way.
- Proposes innovative, educational and scientifically accurate exhibits for exhibitions. - Designs and produces, or assists the design and production of interactive pieces. This person works designing, estimating, prototyping, documenting, and managing the purchase and installation of equipment behind the exhibits - When necessary, this position will provide tech support to international venues in their translation and installation of media pieces. He will also collaborate in the compilation of final media files for delivery to BD.

The AV System Designer will have the following authorities: - Deciding on the best technical approach to support the team's media pieces. - In coordination with the assigned Project Manager, the System Analyst must establish a realistic and safe schedule for software and hardware installation. - Design, schedule and budget proposed plans for information and hardware management inside the department and when applies to Business Development. - Contact IT to support their work. - Propose schedules and budgets for their assigned work. - Define meeting agendas and internal reviews for their technical projects, as well as the coordination of internal meetings.
Required Qualifications: Undergraduate technology based degree is preferred; or industry based certification and experience; media design, computer hardware and software, audio and video production, AV or theater technology.
