AT&T Principal-Technical Architect- Oracle- Atlanta, GA
Responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions, and defining solutions to problems through reasoned application of information technology. Designs, develops, documents and analyzes overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software. Determines integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Coordinates design and integration of total system including subsystems. Researches and recommends technology to improve the current systems.
Resources will need to have an understanding of several key components of the solutions for the Hosting and Application that will focus on design review and enhancement during the presales cycle prior to contract signing. Special skill and attention to the end to end solution encompassing all components of the solution (networking, load balancers, firewalls, OS, DB, application layers, performance tuning, load testing and overall capacity planning expertise) to ensure that the solution designed is complete and operable at a consistent level. For Application layer expertise, we will look to include some level of packaged enterprise application experience (SAP, Oracle EBS, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, etc), ecommerce programs/containers (WebSphere, ATG, etc) and Exchange, middleware layers such as Apache, Tomcat. This role will function in key technical thought leadership roles from design through go live. Skills in Coordinating large technical teams, driving problem management activities and high quality troubleshooting are also skills and experience that will be necessary for this role. High skill levels in 4-7 of the solution layers will be necessary for success in this role. This role will drive work across several teams inside AT&T and will be responsible for forward thinking solutions for client issues.
The role is for a design architect role specializing in Oracle EBS to work with both new prospects to design customer systems as well as work with implementing those solutions. These roles will coordinate with rest of the Oracle application team to ensure we are designing good quality, scalable solutions for our customer prospects.

The preferred location for this position is Atlanta, GA. Other locations that will be considered are Alpharetta, GA; Annapolis, MD or Columbus, OH. May consider other qualified applicants in other locations who will remain in those locations.
