AT&T Executive Director of Emerging Media - Dallas, TX

As the Executive Director of Emerging Media you will develop marketing communications programs to increase the profitability of company products and services through the utilization of new advertising media. In this position, you will be considered an expert within the marketing communications discipline and an acknowledged authority within the organization.
This position will report to the Vice President - Media and Sponsorships and will have direct reports.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Be the strategic and innovative leader to define and drive the emerging media vision, strategy and operational plan for AT&T. Always looking ahead for market trends and new ways to leverage new media and technology to connect AT&T with consumers.
  • Educating internal teams on the value of emerging media, best practices and ongoing evolution implications.
  • Lead, manage, motivate and build out as necessary a team to develop and execute emerging media campaigns.
  • Manage or support key vendor and agency relationships.
  • Participating in industry and thought leadership activity on behalf of AT&T.
Skills/Requirements:
  • 10 years of marketing and digital media experience working in media planning, communications planning and emerging media with both direct response and branding goals.
  • A passion for, and understanding of, the highly fragmented digital media environment and technologies (DSPs, Ad exchanges, RTB, media verification, attribution, social, etc.).
  • Proven thought leader with innate curiosity and aptitude for emerging technologies. You're the person who friends/colleagues go to for advice on the latest and greatest mobile app or social website.
  • Experience managing a $50M annual media budget.
  • Highly creative, proactive and execution oriented. Able to consistently contribute to new ideas and identify opportunities, then lead them to fruition.
  • Strategic thinking, solid organizational skills and the ability to troubleshoot and provide successful resolution.
