Support all product management efforts for DataDirector. Assist in the development and execution of an annual business plan to deliver budgeted revenue and profit. Assist in the creation of deliverables such as an opportunity analysis, business case or publishing proposal for new product ideas moving through the stage gate process. Participate in the development and implementation of a company-wide go-to-market plan for new products, and work with all departments across the company to execute. Manage the product management budget for assigned projects. Support existing products throughout their lifecycle and help to identify opportunities for innovative enhancements or line extensions. Serve as the single point of contact for product related inquiries from Sales and Customer Service and communications. Resolve support related issues quickly and accurately and champion the operational processes that promote issue resolution and best practice in customer support. Assist in developing customer rollover strategies for next generation products as they near the end of their lifecycle. Ensure effective selling efforts by developing sales training programs and maintaining good communications with Sales staff. Develop sales forecasts and work with sales team to develop strategies to acquire and retain customers.
Assist in the creation of the product roadmap and product innovation strategy for the entire product line. Identify unmet market needs through segmentation, unrecognized market needs through problem-based ideation, and collaborate with Market Research on activities to inform product decision-making. Create a market research plan for data collection, analysis and reporting. Perform data-mining from internal systems (e.g., pivots) to create and assist in creation of business cases. Execute market validation of product enhancements in various developmental stages. Synthesize the data into a crisp and coherent picture of customers, prospects, and overall market trends, and articulate this on behalf of the product team. Collaborate with Market Research in the development of effective research activities to inform product decision-making. Identify market research needs and create a plan for data collection, analysis and internal reporting. Monitor market trends, key competitors (e.g., pricing trends), and industry regulations and recommend actions to deal with competitive threats
Serve as main point of contact with Marketing Communications to develop marketing campaigns, create marketing collateral, and identify and implement marketing innovations to support revenue generation. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver initiatives on time and on budget, and communicate all efforts across the organization to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Maintain positive, collegial relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, particularly customer-facing and development teams. Resolve conflicts in a timely manner to ensure that key initiatives stay on schedule.
