Associate Director, Network Operations Center (Sports Media/PR/Broadcasting)
The Associate Director will oversee all aspects of our Network Operations Center, from Initiation through Closure, requiring little direction or oversight. He/she will plan, coordinate and direct all activities associated with the development of project plans, communications plans, project schedules, etc. in order to complete projects on time and within established budgets. The Associate Director will continually review all key Operations Center processes and procedures and propose improvements through process change, reporting changes, or systematic solutions. He/she will collaborate with our Real Estate on the completion of all (PIR's) Project Initiation Requests and (CAR's) Capital Authorization Requests, as required by corporate.
Responsibilities
We are a 24X7 technology company that distributes and ingests content via various network mediums. This position is responsible for directing the operations of the Network Operations Center and ensuring proper process and procedures are implemented and executed for monitoring and troubleshooting of our infrastructure and associated services and applications during. Developing strategic direction for the NOC and aligning it with internally used ITIL framework is critical. Candidate will be expected to manage the activities of one substantial or several work groups, responsible for all phases of assigned technical functions. Also, the candidate must have strong interpersonal verbal and written skills as they will be responsible for communicating directly with senior management and team leads on the state of our infrastructure. Ensuring of timely and efficient delivery of robust technical systems that address multiple stated business and network and computing needs, many of which are mission critical is essential.
Basic Qualifications
Incumbent should have at least 8 years of IT experience with at least three years in a supervisory position as well as experience supporting 24X7 critical services and infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of network infrastructure components, server equipment and digital broadcast equipment is imperative.
Strong experience with enterprise monitoring products, both off the shelf and freeware, as well network diagraming and documentation software is critical.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience and/or certifications regarding the ITIL framework is strongly preferred.
Experience working in crisis management and/or with critical infrastructure is preferred.
