Assistant Director for Athletic Communications (Sports Media/PR/Broadcasting)
The University Athletic Department seeks an Assistant Director for Athletic Communications to serve as the primary public relations event manager for various sports programs including women's basketball, women's lacrosse, women's soccer and softball. The incumbent will be responsible for the following for the aforementioned programs: serving as the athletic communications coordinator; producing the annual media publication; managing all home events; serving as media liaison; and maintaining pages on the University Athletics' website. In addition the Assistant Director, Athletic Communications will be responsible for: coordinating activities of all departmental interns; serving as copy editor for all University Athletics' publications; and performing other duties as assigned by the Associate Vice President and Athletic Director. Position reports to the Associate Athletic Director for Communications.
Additional Salary Information:
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and familiarity with Stat Crew programs is helpful.
