Architect V
Understand complex integration of one or more areas, innovate solutions, operate strategically understanding and applying long term business goals, influence development technical architecture/specifications for internal systems, and provide leadership to IT organization. This would include articulating the architectural vision, conceptualizing and developing alternative approaches and validating such approaches against requirements and assumptions.
Main Responsibilities * Collaborates with and understands business goals and direction and translates to architectural decisions. * Consults on issues of systems integration, compatibility, scalability and multiple platforms. * Serves as an expert consultant to senior management and senior IT staff on IT architecture and long term systems strategies. * Pursues internal opportunities to champion new ideas and concepts. * Leads the conceptual design of highly complex systems. * Mentors and coaches others within the IT organization. * Participates in establishing and maintaining architecture standards and processes. * Independently develops innovative solutions to undefined systems needs. * Effectively communicates architecture direction to the business and within the IT organization. * Understands data center infrastructure requirements, design considerations for multi-tenant hosting, diverse platform integration, and secure delivery methods to meet client segmentation specifications. * Complies with all standard internal controls and processes. Participates and follows all processes as defined by Fujitsu America, Inc. * Delivers results in support of achieving the organization's Service Level Agreements. * Deep technical thought leadership in one technical area and understands the implications of decisions in other areas of the business. * Supports multiple clients. * Serves as a consultant to senior management and senior IT staff on IT programs and long term systems strategies. * Through consultation, influences the development of technical architecture and specifications for internal systems. * Pursues internal opportunities to champion new ideas and concepts for technical area. * Contributes, at an expert level to large, complex projects that are long-term in nature or projects that have been identified as a critical priority for user community. * Independently develops innovative solutions to undefined systems needs. * Applies business knowledge in the design of complex systems solutions. * Guides and mentors less experienced Architect team members in resolving complex issues as well as developing strategic visions. * Creates and presents the business case and ROI analysis to senior management. * Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of IT principles and practices. * Expert knowledge of several disciplines within IT. * Minimum 12 years IT experience with at least 5 years experience as an Enterprise Architect. * Extensive knowledge in technical leadership experiences with non-traditional systems. * In depth understanding and influence of organization's business strategy and rationale. * Ability to translate business strategy into technical vision and strategy. * Strong influencing and networking skills with all levels of the organization. Specialty skill set required in any of the following: * Networking, * Distributed Systems (Wind, Unix, Linux), * Storage area networks, * Virtual Environments, * ITIL and TOGAF methodology. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, or equivalent education and work experience.
