Functional / Technical / Business Responsibilities
Gather and validate business/technology requirements to establish scope and parameters of requirements and define project impact, outcome criteria and metrics.
Research, review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes; quantify potential efficiency opportunities and track accordingly.
Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility and conformity to standards.
Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team.
Create systems and business process models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
Develop and conduct reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted, meet customers' needs and are aligned with dynamic business drivers.
Assist with the interpretation of user requirements into feasible options and communicate these back to the business stakeholders.
Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
Communicate changes, enhancements and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
Relationship Management
Work in partnership with Client Services Group (CSG) leadership on strategic initiatives to continuously improve policies, standards and procedures by anticipating issues, providing advice and sharing knowledge and best practices.
Develop strategic relationships with other team members and business partners and partner across the ITS team to align with AARP internal and external client demands.
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Information Systems or related field.
5-7 years related experience.
Experience with defining business metrics and developing business cases using financial and social ROI models.
In-depth knowledge of business process analysis and modeling, business metrics and KPI with emphasis on business benefits realization through technology investments.
Preferred
Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
Advanced level knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies and frameworks (TOGAF, FEA, Gartner, Meta etc.) and business process modeling and enterprise architecture tools (Metastorm Provision etc.).
Certification in Business Analysis.
