Are you a junior or senior in college with an interest in pursuing a career in advertising sales and marketing? Would you like to get hands-on experience?
The Advertising Sales internship position at McMurry is an opportunity for the right candidate to receive experience in publishing, advertising sales and get an overview of the design and production cycle for Arrive, Amtrak?s official on-board publication for the Northeast Corridor, and Weddings by The Ritz-Carlton and The Ritz-Carlton Magazine, both international publications.
A self-starter with a positive attitude, you have strong oral and written communications skills, are comfortable working with a wide variety of people, are eager to learn, and willing to stretch outside your comfort zone.
The right person will shine in this internship by:
- Researching and targeting prospective clients to sell advertising space
- Assisting our fast-paced advertising sales team with administrative duties as needed: copying, filing, research, mailing and correspondence
- Assisting in promotions to build brand awareness for specific magazine titles
- Learning the sales process - sales calls to prospective clients, follow-up response and respective promotional materials

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communication, Sales or Advertising
Basic Microsoft Office skills
This position is unpaid and does not come with a salary or wage. However, you will benefit by rich real-world experience. College credits may also be available. Applicants with a salary requirement or specification will not be considered.
