The AP Coordinator position is responsible for providing support for administrative accounting functions in the areas of accounts payable and other various accounting tasks that will inlcude analysis and reconciliation under the guidance of accountants, data entry, processing routine transactions, filinf, preparing simple reports related to workflow, communication with client departments, compliance with accounting and administrative controls.
Duties Includes: Processing daily transactions and working with others in the acctg department an client department to ensure compliance with HMH policies and procedures. This includes balancing vouchers, new vendors set up, voucher entries and inventory vouchers, wip, end of month balancing and a/p reconciliation, preparing check run schedule, and coordinate voucher input and printing of checks.

Requirements A minimum of 2-3 years accounts payable experience and an Associates Degree in Accounting. A basic understanding of US GAAP is preferred. Proficiency with Excel and Word is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities and flexible to meet an evolving busness environment is also required.
