Department Overview: The Business Intelligence Analyst forms part of the Mid Market Sales and Account Management team. It is a key position on the sales floor and great opportunity to learn about display advertising operations. For those interested in Internet advertising, the position is a good stepping stone for knowledge building.
The position reports to the Head of Media Account Management and will be responsible for multiple projects of Business Intelligence. Current projects include: revenue reporting, data gathering and analysis, working with new technologies to provide more informative analytical tools. We are seeking candidates that have highly developed technical skills and understand how servers work. We are looking for in depth expert knowledge on Excel and someone who loves numbers and figuring out how they can benefit our business and help us generate more revenue.
Competencies: * Strong communication skills * Familiarity with Yahoo! competitors * Ability to translate analysis into a compelling sales proposition * Understand how technology works and the ability to explain in ordinary terms * Sound Computer Skills - Internet Explorer, Browsers, Outlook, Microsoft Office Requirements: · Fluent in English. · Be familiar with Business Intelligence concept. · Have very strong analytical capabilities. · Technically adept. · Statistical abilities – to be proven in running and analyzing data. · Able to manage large data sets of information. · Excel expertise · Microsoft Office Advanced knowledge (ECDL or any other certification appreciated)Experience with databases, programming languages and/or visualization tools a plus
Eligibility: · BA/BS student of Business (specifically in areas of Economics, Math, Statistics, Computer Science). · Current student in the last two years of study and eligible for internships (a deck to prove the enrolment with a university/school is mandatory)
