Job Description:
General Summary: The Sr. Account Executive will sell Shared Technologies equipment and maintenance product offerings to new and existing customers, meeting or exceeding all assigned sales objectives and revenue quotas. Responsible for new business, account penetration, and sale of related products and services. Follow accounts through proposal, contract, installation, on going service. Complete sales forecasting and backlog requirements, attend sales training, programs and product meetings. Accounts are complex system designs with multi-applications for strategic and national Fortune 500 companies and consultants requiring key system, PBXs, voice mail, call center, and data applications, and maintenance products for multi-site locations.
Key Responsibilities: . Meet monthly revenue and GP targets and measurable non-revenue objectives . Generate new business through strategic and national corporations throughout the country . Generate complex equipment upgrades of existing national assigned base . Serve the account through customer meetings, needs assessment and proposal development, executive-level meetings/contact and continual assessment of additional marketing and revenue-generating opportunities . Work jointly with the Sales Engineering and Operations Support Team in assuring customer satisfaction with pricing support, order provisioning and project management . Assist in the settlement of any account disputes as needed . Submit sales forecasts and other administrative requirements in a timely fashion . Develop and execute account plans for assigned accounts . Attend all scheduled sales training, programs and product meetings . Assist in developing new products and marketing strategies for assigned accounts . Additional responsibilities as position requires
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: (education, experience, technical skills, communication skills, customer focus, time management skills, independence, accuracy) . Bachelor's degree preferred . 10+ years sales experience; telecom industry experience preferred. . Advanced knowledge of telephony architecture, with an emphasis on sophisticated telecom equipment and services. VOIP, Avaya, Siemens, NEC product experience preferred. . Proven record of professional sales accomplishment and customer relationship skills with demonstrable prospecting, cold calling and closing skills. . Must be familiar with local market . Must be self-motivated with a good work ethic . Must have the ability to work remotely and the discipline to be successful without direct supervision . Advanced communication skills to be used in writing, presentations, general customer interactions, and with internal company management . Experience in MS Office products required. Knowledge of Sales Force preferred.
