Essential Responsibilities . Work in close collaboration with the General Electric Healthcare (GEHC) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) team, research , and clinical partners to develop new neuroMRI applications. The primary clinical partner is the Psychology Department at Stanford University. . Combine knowledge of MR imaging physics and clinical needs to improve specification and design of MR acquisition, processing, and display. . Work with clinical and research partners to prototype and evaluate new application technologies. Partner with engineering to turn these into GEHC products. . Provide technical training and support including pulse sequence programming, MR physics, and image post-processing techniques to collaborative researchers, when necessary. . Contribute to MR scientific society through publication and presentation of the research output. . Use broad expertise in MR physics and applications to help resolve urgent issues with current products. Qualifications/Requirements . Ph.D. (or Ph.D. in progress) in Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. . Demonstrated record of innovation in MR physics research, development of new pulse sequences, reconstruction methods, or applications of MR imaging. . 3+ years experience in MR imaging research or closely related field. . Excellent English language oral and written communication skills Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Strong knowledge of MR clinical applications specifically in neuro. . 2+ years experience with advanced neuro imaging methods such as EPI, DTI etc as applied to the field of fMRI .
