Position Description
The Senior Specialist, HRIS, is responsible for managing the HR systems, providing vision and project management for enhancements as well as current functionality. This position will also analyze and manage related functional activities and business processes.
Primary responsibilities include selection and design of Human Resource department technology solutions, managing the consistency of global data, leading efforts on HR user acceptance testing, managing table setup, data uploads, custom reports and process documentation, managing relationship with IT developer to deliver system enhancements and resolve system issues.
Additional responsibilities include the development, implementation and management of HR systems associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of employee information for Human Resource department planning and activities.
Responsibilities
* Lead HR systems enhancements and projects, including business requirements gathering, testing, and documentation.
* Audit and validate data within HR systems to maintain data integrity and ensure that system controls and processes meet all internal and external audit requirements.
* Create and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports or queries to support day-to-day HR operations; as well as internal/external customer needs.
* Manage interfaces in and out of the HR system of record, including performance management, benefits, retirement, payroll and leave of absence systems.
* Functional expert for all HR Systems, including PeopleSoft Core & TAM, SuccessFactors, SharePoint, OrgChart and additional systems as applicable.
* Evaluate HR system needs and design new or modify existing HR systems to meet changing business demands.
* Create and maintain process and procedures documentation and functional specifications related to production requirements.
* Train HR Team (new and existing) on processes and functionality of the systems and assist team with system-related questions and needs.
* Continuously increase system application/tools knowledge to ensure best practices. Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
* Manage Corporate Office HR file room and offsite storage.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business, or a related field of study.
* Minimum of 3+ years of HRIS experience.
* Understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions, processes and experience with database tools.
* Strong project management skills.
* Excellent facilitation, written & verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Demonstrated initiative and ability to improve processes.
* Ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary efforts and communicate with both with technical and non-technical users.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; flexible, supportive, and adaptive to change.
