Position Summary:
The Marketing team at Yahoo! is seeking a strategic, creative, results-oriented candidate for its Global Brand Management team. This group is responsible for leading the charge on brand strategy, corporate identity, naming, and brand architecture. The Global Brand Management team partners across the organization to build Yahoo! brand vitality, vibrancy, and value, and to ensure that brand equity is protected and optimized.
The Sr. Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting objectives by working with cross-functional teams to ensure the consistent delivery of Yahoo!'s strategy at every touchpoint, helping to facilitate all brand-related initiatives. As part of the Global Brand Management team, the Sr. Marketing Manager will help protect and build the most trusted consumer Internet brand in the world. This position resides in Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities: . Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the Yahoo! brand message, voice and look and feel are consistently applied across touchpoints. . Work with our product and design teams to explore fun, creative and surprising ways to express our brand within product. . Develop and revise existing brand guidelines to increase efficiency of brand implementation across the organization. Work in consultative role across Yahoo! to ensure that brand guidelines are effectively and successfully utilized. . Proactively seek creative opportunities to strengthen the brand with consumers, advertisers and employees. . Ensure all branding initiatives are being delivered on time and on budget.
Minimum Qualifications: . 6 years experience working in a brand consultancy and ideally, within a brand team client-side. . Possess a creative, open-minded spirit and a strategic mindset. . Have a deep understanding of the value of strong, consistent and creative branding. . Possess strong project management and communication skills. . Be skilled at building relationships across multi-faceted organizations, driving to decisions, and managing complex projects. . Be able to drive project execution and think strategically. . Be collaborative, team-oriented, yet self-directed and accountable. . Have a working knowledge of InDesign/Illustrator.
