Thales Communications, Inc. has an opportunity for a senior DSP/FPGA Engineer in our Clarksburg, MD facility. You will be developing signal processing, communication protocol software for an advanced communication system. You will also be participating in software design, requirement allocations, design reviews and technology demonstrations. Additionally, you will be working closely with other team members to perform integration, testing and debugging to ensure the functionality and performance of system.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for (1) implementing communication protocol software, RF control software and signal processing algorithm software/firmware on a DSP processor and/or FPGA (2) performing software integration, test and debug at unit level as well as at the system level (3) writing design documentations Qualifications:
(1) Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A currently active U.S. security clearance is a plus. (2) BSEE with 5+ years years experience in DSP/FPGA firmware development. MSEE is a plus (3) Solid understanding of wireless communication theory and digital signal process (4) Proficient in MATLAB simulation and experience in TI/ADI DSP programming in C and assembly language (5) Verilog and VHDL RTL programming, synthesis and timing analysis are highly desirable (6) Hands-on experience in debugging real-time DSP/FPGA firmware (7) Good Technical Writing/Verbal Communication is a plus Take action with this job: Your application choices are:
