Currently we have an exceptional opening for a District Sales Manager preferably located within the San Francisco area.
As a DM within the Math and Science group, you will be responsible for strategically driving sales, meeting sales and editorial goals, recruiting and developing new sales people and developing and leading a team of sales representatives calling on colleges and universities. You will work in conjunction with colleagues in editorial, marketing, sales programs, and Custom Publishing to achieve your goals. A District Manager is also responsible for analysis, planning, and financial management.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have an undergraduate college degree
At least 4 years sales success within the publishing industry
Previous industry experience in marketing and/or as a product specialist is preferred
Strong presentation, account development and leaderships skills are necessary to motivate sales staff and achieve sales goals
Outstanding communication skills are critical as the District Manager will be working closely with a wide variety of internal departments at Pearson as well as working with a broad representation of our customer base
