Description
JOB SUMMARY:Under minimal direction, apply intelligence subject matter knowledge to high level analysis, design, development, and execution of experiments designed to evaluate toolsets and technologies with the potential to improve the intelligence processes. Resolve problems, which require an intimate knowledge of the related technical subject matter. Apply principles and methods of the subject matter to provide specialized solutions and terrorism-related intelligence products. Expected to assume a team leader role in absence of assigned team leader.

Modifies and creates necessary data files and manipulates data to develop responses to a wide range of complex, all-source intelligence taskings; evaluates correctness/accuracy of researched material. 20%
Creates finished intelligence products enabling analysts to manage and mitigate risk, improve accuracy and drastically decrease production and analysis time for critical analytical use. 15%
Creates and presents periodic and special intelligence reports, plans, and briefings for an overseas customer. 25%
Defines critical information technology intelligence topics and initiates comprehensive or unique research efforts. 10%
Conducts comprehensive technology research on complex topics either independently or as part of a larger analytical effort. 10%
Identifies requirements for new databases and information services and develops new research methodologies. 10%
Performs long-range information technology planning in support of existing and projected requirements. 5%

Education Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Geography, Technical or Social Sciences or related field preferred. At least 6 cumulative months of certified training in intelligence analysis preferred. N/A
Experience Prefer 7+ years experience in the U.S. Military and/or U.S. Intelligence Community, 3 years of which as an all-source / counterterrorism intelligence analyst in short turnaround production cycles. Passionate about national security. Able to adapt and learn in different geographic areas with emerging target sets and to persistently attack hard problems with new solutions. Considerable experience briefing senior decision-makers and groups of 8 or more desired. Ability to adapt to a new organization and to engage in discussions with senior members of the U.S. Government regarding subject matter expertise and organizational capabilities desired. Superior teamwork and interpersonal skills are required as multiple production teams of 7+ analysts each work in an open-bay office configuration. Creativity, leadership experience, self-initiative, innovative vision, and a strong desire to grow into a team lead role are highly desired. N/A
Computer Environment Experience with Analyst Notebook, ArcGIS, Windows, Microsoft Office, SPOTFIRE, familiarity with intelligence related search engines such as M3, Pathfinder, QueryTreeNG, BIRS, HARMONY, and ICREACH preferred; prefer ability to use intelligencce applications to create fused data for all source intelligence analysis; demonstrate ability to rapidly learn new software in order to overcome existing analytic obstacles preferred; Experience advising in the development of analytic tools is a plus. Additional Skills / Communication / Certifications / Licenses Military experience providing intelligence support to ground forces preferred. Working knowledge of collection management principles, all source analysis and collection processes and mastery of at least one intelligence collection discipline (HUMINT, SIGINT, MASINT or IMINT) including its requirements/tasking process, collection platforms and its POC’s within the community of interest preferred. Strong analytical background/experience collaborating with multiple organizations and agencies in the intelligence community preferred. Functional knowledge of / experience with current operational aspects of counter-terrorism. Ability to understand technical network topologies. Experience with the human terrain, especially the ability to articulate cultural terminology, customs, and dynamics desired. N/A
Security Clearance Must possess and can retain an active TS/SCI clearance. N/A
Travel Requirement Extensive travel required. Must be able to work in overseas contingency operations for 90-120 day rotations every 12 - 15 months. Travel throughout the continental U.S. on short trips to attend and present at conferences and analytic exchanges will be required. N/A
